Where it comes from

Vendors & Port Markets

We source from the great thrift ports — the sprawling bazaars and container markets where vintage clothing arrives by the bale. Here is where Vintology's racks begin.

Karachi Port Thrift Market

The bazaars around Karachi's port are where container-loads of second-hand clothing first land. Stalls overflow with bric-a-brac, garments and household goods — sorted by hand, sold by the piece. It is the raw beginning of the thrift supply chain, and one of the busiest in South Asia.

Sharjah Port Thrift Market

Sharjah's port markets are the Gulf's great clearing house for pre-owned goods — instruments, books, cameras and vintage housewares spread across the pavement under the shade. Traders bring in stock from across the region, and the good pieces never last the morning.

The Container Halls

Where port stock is unpacked indoors: warehouse-scale halls of tables and blankets, sorted by aisle and grade. This is where our buyers work through bales to pull the pieces worth sending on — a single hall can hold a hundred sellers' worth of clothing.

The Open-Air Sales

Out in the lot, racks and piles of vintage clothing go up for the day's trade — leather, fur, scarves and one-off pieces, picked over by the first buyers through the gate. The best finds surface here before anything reaches a curated rack.
